The national park authority, Balai Besar TNBTS, set its Bromo entry prices from 30 October 2024: Rp54,000 for domestic visitors on weekdays, Rp79,000 on holidays, and Rp255,000 a day for foreign visitors on any day, insurance included.1 The vehicle is a separate line: a four-wheel jeep is Rp10,000.7

Gates and closures: Jemplang, Wonokitri and the fire
The gate that matters most for a Malang start is Jemplang, in Malang Regency. On Thursday 10 September 2026 TNBTS closed Bromo visits through the Jemplang entrance after a fire at Sabana Pengol; the Cemorolawang and Wonokitri gates stayed open, up to the sea of sand only.3 ANTARA published that a day later. Even before that, from 4 August 2026, jeeps from Tumpang in Malang were diverted along Tumpang, Jabung, Nongkojajar and Wonokitri to Penanjakan, and their departures moved from 02:00 to 00:30.10 The shared listing's 00:30 start is the same hour; a departure in the small hours is the normal shape of this day.
